Ferox Rust Converter - Arexons

Ferox is a rust converter based on synthetic resins dispersed in water; it reacts chemically with rust, transforming it into a stable black complex that is resistant to weathering and impervious to moisture.

Suitable for applications even in closed and poorly ventilated environments, it can be overpainted with all types of paints, both water-based and solvent-based.

It reacts with rust and stops its destructive processes.

Employment

Ideal for treating rusty ferrous surfaces, equally effective on new surfaces.

Use

Substrate preparation:

Surfaces never painted-brush off crumbly or poorly anchored rust then remove remaining dust with a rag dampened with water.

Already painted surfaces-brush off peeling paint and crumbly rust by removing remaining dust with a rag dampened with water.

Application: ready-to-use product.

If applied with spray gun dilute with water max 15 ÷ 18%.

Advice: shake the product well before use.

Pour the required amount of product into a plastic container and do not pour any remaining product back into the original container.

Overpaintable after 12 hours.

At a temperature of at least 20°C and humidity not exceeding 60 percent, you can overcoat after only 15 minutes.

After use, wash tools immediately with water.

Surfaces treated with Ferox should be overcoated with a good finishing varnish within 24 to 36 hours, if sheltered from the weather up to 2 to 3 weeks can be allowed.

Warnings

Arexons guarantees compatibility between paints of its own production, before doing the work make sure of compatibility with paints/undercoats of other manufacturers.

Ferox cannot be used on concrete reinforcement.

The film on non-ferrous surface is milky.

Do not apply at temperatures below 5°C.

Application can also be done on wet substrate but the film must be protected from water and rain.

Storage

In unopened package and stored at room temperature at least 3 years.

Caution: fears frost do not expose to temperatures below +5°C
